James Herod is a longtime Lafayette County, MS resident with over 40 years of dedication to education and community service. He has served as a teacher, guidance counselor, and school administrator, leading initiatives to enhance student learning. James later became an Associate Professor and Director of Field Experiences at Rust College, mentoring future educators. He is a board member of the North East Mississippi Electric Power Association (NEMEPA) and has served on advisory boards for Baptist Memorial Hospital and United Way. His lifelong commitment to education and community development continues to make a lasting impact.
